About co2online
co2online is a non-profit limited liability company campaigning to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) by means of energy saving through dialogue. co2online motivates private households, trade and commerce to become actively involved in climate protection and to save money at the same time.
co2online implements several campaigns for private households and communities, all co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment.
Sustainable Energy Europe Award Nominee 2011
The “Energy Savings Club” has been nominated for the Sustainable Energy Europe Award Competition 2011 in the category “Consuming”. In this year’s Award Competition 303 projects compete in six categories: communicating, learning, living, producing, consuming and travelling. European Citizens Climate Cup
Challenge for European countries:
The IEE project "European Citizens Climate Cup (ECCC)" is a competition of private householders in European countries. The ECCC shall prove that a large number of citizens can achieve European targets as 20% CO2 reduction until 2020 in everyday life with little effort. More

co2online won the Sustainable Energy Europe Award 2007 in the category "Awareness Raiser". The Award for the "Climate Seeks Protection" campaign and its online tools, adaptable all over Europe, was presented for an outstanding contribution to reaching Europe’s energy targets.

Since 2008 we are member of FEDARENE, the premier European network of regional and local organisations which implement, co-ordinate and facilitate energy and environment policies.
